Book Exchange, Making 15, Power Words

Reminders:

-    Team 72 had book exchange today and brought home new books.  Please bring back overdue library books tomorrow.  Next book exchange is Monday November 28^th.

-    Scholastic book orders are due tomorrow Tuesday November 15^th.

-    Fun Lunch is Wednesday November 16^th.

-    Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday November 24^th from 4 – 7 pm and Friday November 25^th from 8am – 12pm – No School Friday November 25^th. – Conference booking website will open November 17^th at 8 pm. for parents.

-    Student Pictures went home today.

-    Coco Brooks and Landmark Fundraiser forms went home today.

-    Club Friday – Friday November 18^th. – Dress appropriately if going outside for a club.

Today:

We read to ourselves and read with a buddy while Ms. Collins did guided reading. 

Power words this week are; came, by, us, get, this. 

We tried really hard to make our sentences as interesting as possible!

Team 72 went to the Learning Commons to get out new books to take home.  Please return any late books tomorrow and Ms. Collins will let you go to get new books.  Next book exchange is Monday November 28^th.

In Math, we read the book ‘12 Ways to get to 11’ by Eve Merriam.  The book explained many different and imaginative ways to make 11 using pictures, words and numbers.  Team 72 started making 15 in as many different ways using pictures, words and numbers.

We had gym and music today.  Please tell your parents what you did.
