Dear Children and Families,
Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday night and Friday. We
are excited to share student progress with you!
Help us
bring some Christmas joy to our city’s homeless
The Fill
a Sock, Fill a Need campaign provides a Christmas “stocking” of
essential needs and small personal items to those in need.
We are
asking each student to donate $5 (or more J) to help
fill socks to be donated to the Drop In Centre. If possible, we would
also ask students to donate a pair of new, warm, adult sized socks.
We strongly
encourage students to earn their donation money by doing chores around the
house - shoveling snow, taking out the garbage…etc.
We will be
collecting money from students between November 21st and
December 1st. We will also be collecting cash donations during
Parent Teacher Interviews.
Reminders:
POWER WORDS: going

Today:
We are learning
to read. We use strategies to help us figure
out words. We point to the words, we
look at the pictures, we look at the first letter in the word, we say the
letters sounds out loud. Ask me what
strategies I am using when I read with you at home.
During writing we had free choice
writing time.
In word work we played the Making
Words game. We used the words it, in and
is to make words.
In math we finished showing what
we know about patterns. We wrote about
our patterns using pictures, numbers and words.
In health we finished our class
book about how to be a friend.
Monday’s
Class Leader:

See you during conferences. Mrs Collins will be teaching Monday and
Tuesday. See you in class next
