Dear Children and Families,
Reminders:
-Swimming tomorrow. Remember to
bring a towel and swim suit and an extra snack in a separate bag so you don’t
have to bring your backpack. Wear
clothes that are easy for you to put on and take off by yourself. Girls remember to tie your hair back so it
doesn’t get in your eyes when you are swimming.
-Tree Homework due back today

Important
Words:
POWER WORDS: practice any 5 you
like!
These are words we are learning to read
and spell.
ACADEMIC WORDS: Arctic
Inukshuk
Research Tree Lodgepole Pine
These are words that we are learning to
understand the meaning of in math and social studies.
Today:
Check out the swimmers!
We read to self and read to
someone. We had to ask our reading
partner to make a connection to the book they read.
We read for 30
minutes.
Non-fiction Writers explore
artifacts. Thank you Wesley for bringing
us a real piece of a lodgepole pine tree.
In math we used our math centres
to practice adding. Ask me about a
centre I used.
Ask me what I did
during music.
We shared our community tree homework. Bring yours tomorrow if you didn’t have it
today.
Tomorrow’s
Class Leader:
Annie (bring something to share with us and be able to tell us 2 reasons it is
important)
See you tomorrow!
Ms. MacMillan
