Dear Children and Families,
Reminders:
-Swimming Lessons Start Monday! Remember
to bring a towel, your swim suit and an extra snack in a separate plastic bag so you
don’t have to bring your backpack to the pool. Wear
clothes that are easy for you to put on and take off by yourself. Girls remember to tie your hair back so it
doesn’t get in your eyes when you are swimming. Thank you to the parents who are volunteering to accompany us the pool next week!
-Tree Homework due back next
Wednesday
-Home Reading

Words:
POWER WORDS: practice any 5 you
like!
These are words we are learning to read
and spell.
ACADEMIC WORDS: Arctic
Inukshuk
Research Tree Lodgepole Pine
These are words that we are learning to
understand the meaning.
Today:
We read to self and read to
someone.
Ask me about the
song we are learning in music.
We searched the
internet for information about Lodgepole pine trees. Ask me 3 important things you can see if you
looked at a lodgepole pine tree.
During math we solved an everyday
problem about a special snack for swimming next week. Ask me how I used pictures, numbers and words
to figure out the answer.
Our buddies helped us record
ourselves reading and put the video into our IRIS account. You can login and have a look via the Cranston School website.
Mrs Collins will be with the students
Monday and Tuesday. Have a great time at swimming lessons. See you Wednesday!
