Reminders:
-Hungry Kids!  Many of us are all hungry as we arrive at school in the morning.  Please make sure you are eating a healthy breakfast to give you energy to start the day.  Please send extra healthy snacks to help you get through the day.
-Home Reading
-Community Walk:  We are going to go on a community walk tomorrow afternoon at 2pm.  Please dress for the weather.  If you would like to volunteer to go with us please email Ms MacMillan lgmacmillan@cbe.ab.ca

Important Words:

POWER WORDS:          there  where  their  when
These are words we are learning to read and spell.

ACADEMIC WORDS:       strategy
These are words that we are learning to understand the meaning of in math and social studies.

Today:

We read to self and read to someone.  Ask me about my new bookmark with reading STRATEGIES.

We read for 30 minutes.

We wrote about PINK shirt day in our visual journals

We listened to the stories Peepsqueak Finds and Friend and One Good Deed.

In math we learned a new counting strategy called CHISENBOP.  Grab a dice and ask me to show you how I can press some numbers.

During Social Studies we shared our community maps. We are going to find out about the different kinds of nature in our community tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s Class Leader: Hannah (remember to bring a stuffy to share).

See you tomorrow!

Ms. MacMillan
