Swimming, Adding, Reading!

Dear Children and Families,

Thank you to all the parent volunteers who came swimming with us and helped out today!  Swimmers did a fantastic job again! 

Please pack a snack for inside your child’s swim bag tomorrow.  We have an opportunity to have a snack after swimming and the students are very hungry! Thank-you J

Reminders:

·      Swimming tomorrow and Thursday – leave Cranston at 8:20 and return 10:45.

·      Scholastic book order went home today.  Book orders are due Tuesday March 21.

·      Class occupational therapy form went home today.

·      Fun Lunch Wednesday March 15.

·      Next Book Exchange is Monday March 20

·      Keep up your Reading on your March ‘Give-It a Shot’ Calendars!!

·      Club Friday March 17

Today:

We went swimming all morning today!  Great job to everyone again J

In Math, we practiced the adding strategy ‘counting on’.  We also learned, ‘7 + 2’ is the same as ‘2 + 7’.  Some students are practicing adding two digits by two digits.

We did read to self today.  We read for 20 minutes.

In Science, we discussed our challenges and improvements we have made in our building process of building our forts.  Please share any changes you have had to make while building your fort.

Ms. MacMillan will see you for the rest of the week. J  Ms. Collins will see you next Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesday class leader is Wesley.  Please bring in something that is special to you and, of course, can fit in your backpacks. J
