Today:

Thanks Kristine for helping us with our arctic clothing photos today!

We read to self and read to someone today.  We practiced having our out loud reading sound just like talking, not too fast like a race car or too slow like a robot.  We also search for punctuation in our books.  The.   ,   !  ?   and   “” symbols.

We worked with our Canadian Community group to find more facts about trees using the internet.  We had to search for and write 5 new facts.

During word work we talked about the 2 vowel rule.  If two vowels go walking, the first one does it’s talking and says it’s name.  We wrote words using ea, ee and oi.

In math we finished and checked the work in our adding strategy books.

Ask me what I did today to become a Hip-Hop Master during our gym dance lessons.

We used our scientist and artist skills to look closely and sketch a landscape from the Arctic Canadian Community.

Tuesday's Class Leader: Kaitlyn (bring something to share with us that fits inside Ms MacMillan’s Egg and have 2 clues ready to help us guess what is inside)

Enjoy the long weekend!  Ms Collins will be with the students Tuesday.  See you next Wednesday!
