POWER WORDS:            practice any 5 you like!
These are words we are learning to read and spell.

ACADEMIC WORDS:       Arctic Expert  needs   wants
Prairie Community   Saskatchewan
Atlantic Community  Nova Scotia
These are words that we are learning to understand the meaning of.

Today:
We read to self and read to someone.

We now get to choose a tree that we would like to research and work on non-fiction writing independently. Ask me what tree I chose to research and in which Canadian community you could find it.

In math we are creating a Adding Strategies book to help someone else learn to add.

Ask me what songs I am learning for Arbor Day during music.

Ask me what I am doing to become a Hip-Hop Master during our gym dance lessons.

In social studies we read a special poem about Canada and talked about what we would need and what we would want if we lived in the Arctic.  We have an Expert on the Arctic coming to teach us tomorrow.

Blog Question:  What question would you like to ask our expert about the Arctic?

Tomorrow’s Class Leader: Anthony (bring something to share with us and be able to tell us 2 reasons it is important)

See you tomorrow!

Ms. MacMillan
