Important Words:

POWER WORDS:              will where then look put
These are words we are still learning to read and spell.

ACADEMIC WORDS:         Edit  Punctuation
These are words that we are learning to understand the meaning of.

Today:

Literacy Week Activities:  Today we enjoyed stories by Dr Seuss and participated in the whole school Drop Everything And Read sessions.

During math we subtracted 2 digit numbers.  Ask me if I tried to answer the easy or hard number sentences.

Team 72 worked really hard to finish writing their instructions.

During word work we learned how to edit our work to look for mistakes and fix them.  We can edit our writing for punctuation, spaces and power words spelled correctly.

We read to self and read to someone today.  What kind of books do you like to read?  Fiction or Non-Fiction? Stories or True Facts

Drumfit with Mrs Quilley and Mrs McBride is Awesome!

During social studies we talked about weather and jobs in the Atlantic and Prairie communities.

Blog Question:  What tools do you use at home to measure how long or tall or heavy something is?

Tomorrow’s Class Leader: Liam (bring something to share with us that is small and could fit inside Ms MacMillan’s Egg and have 2 clues ready to help us guess what is inside)

See you tomorrow!

Ms. MacMillan
