Learning Commons, Estimating, Burrow/Den Building

Dear Children and Families:

There will be an information form about the Christmas Concert going home tomorrow for Team 72.  Each family will be getting two tickets (attached to the form) and admission will be by donation. Donation information is also on the form.  Team 72’s concert is on Tuesday December 6th; dress rehearsal at 1:00 pm and evening performance at 6:00 pm.

Conferences were wonderful! It was great talking about all the learning and growing each student is doing in Team 72.  Ms. MacMillan and Ms. Collins are proud of everyone!  Thank you for coming.

Reminders:

-    Fill a Sock Campaign – bring in $5 and a pair of warm adult size socks (socks are optional) – ends December 1st
-  Library books went home today.  For students who still have library books at home please bring them back tomorrow and Ms. Collins will let you go get new books.  Library books are due back Monday December 12th.

Today:

We started our day doing our spelling centres.

We read to ourselves and read with a buddy while Ms. Collins did guided reading.

Team 72 went to the Learning Commons to get new books.  Please return by Monday December 12th.

Power words this week are; who, them, do, some, your.

In math, we learned about estimation.  Tell your parents what does estimate mean?

We had music and gym today.  Please tell your parents what you did.

In Science we started our burrow/den projects.  Let your parents know what materials you used today so far.  What is the difference between a burrow and den?  What are you making? A den or burrow….why?

Have a wonderful evening! Ms. Collins will see you tomorrow.  Ms. MacMillan will see you for the rest of the week.

Tuesday Class Leader is Teagan!

:) Ms. Collins
