Dear Children and Families,

Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday November 24^th from 4 – 7 pm and Friday November 25^th from 8am – 12pm – No School Friday November 25^th. – Conference booking website will open November 17^th at 8 pm. for parents.

Help us bring some Christmas joy to our city’s homeless

The Fill a Sock, Fill a Need campaign provides a Christmas “stocking” of essential needs and small personal items to those in need.

We are asking each student to donate $5 (or more J) to help fill socks to be donated to the Drop In Centre.  If possible, we would also ask students to donate a pair of new, warm, adult sized socks.

We strongly encourage students to earn their donation money by doing chores around the house - shoveling snow, taking out the garbage…etc.

We will be collecting money from students between November 21^st and December 1^st.  We will also be collecting cash donations during Parent Teacher Interviews.

-Landmark Cinema fundraiser due Nov 24th

-Learning to read and write is hard work.  Have you had a recent Sight and Hearing check up from your Dr? Your eyes and ears are an important part of learning!

Today:

In reading we read to someone (a partner or a book buddy), then read to self.  Ask me what strategies I am using to become a good reader.

During writing we completed a self assessment for our latest book.  Ask me how I did.

Clubs are awesome.  Ask me about mine.
