-Cranston School Open House Tonight. Meet the Teachers from 6:30-7:30pm
-No School for Students tomorrow.

Today:

We practiced reading quietly to ourselves and reading with a partner.  Good Readers read everyday! Mrs MacMillan read with small groups for reading lessons.

We listened to a story called Bunny Cakes by Rosemary Wells.

We wrote in our journals to draw, label and write sentences.  We also practiced Finger Spelling to sound out words we don’t know how to write yet.  Ask me what I wrote about.

During word work we counted the sounds we hear in our power words.

During math we used 10 Frames to arrange numbers.  We also wrote in our math journals about the number 13.  What do you know about the number 13?

We went for a quick jog to begin training for the Terry Fox Run next week, then did some strength building exercises in our classroom for phys ed.

In health we learned about the Zones of Regulation.  The zones help us talk about how intense our feelings are.  The Green Zone is calm and ready to learn.  Ask me about the other zones.

Monday’s Class Leader:  Teagan
