Buddies and Counterpillars

Dear Families and Children,

Congratulations on completing the first week of Grade ½!  It has been a busy and fun week getting to know each other and learning about Team 72’s classroom routines.  Please do not bring toys in your backpack.  Each student will have an opportunity to bring something from home to share when it is their Class Leader Day.

Reminders:

-    1. Student package forms are now over due.  Please return forms on Monday September 12.

   2. A form went home today about more important information about our classroom.  Please readJ

   3. A form went home today about in-line skating. Please fill out form and return by September 14.
   4. Team 72’s Class Leader for Monday September 12, is Grayden.  Grayden can bring something from home to share with the class.  Please do not bring anything breakable or irreplaceable

Today:

We finished our I can and I will trains in art.

We met our Grade 3 buddies today!  We will be a buddy class with Ms. Patton’s Grade 3 class for the year.  We met our buddies and made counterpillar’s with them to help us in our math.

We worked in partners and finished our math matching work. We matched word numbers with numerals and drew a picture showing the amount.

We learned about our fine motor centres today and had time to use them.

We read books from our book bins to ourselves and with someone else today.

Ms. Collins will be with the students on Monday.
