First Day of School

Dear Children and Families,

Happy First Day of School!  Team 72 had a great day together.

Reminders:

-Lots of notices coming home in our backpacks this afternoon. Please complete and return to school as soon as possible.

-We need lots of healthy snack because we are hungry learners!

-We will have phys ed outside this week.  Please make sure children are dressed to run and play comfortably outside.

Today:

We read to self and read to someone.  We will practice reading together every day.

During word work(spelling) we added our first words to the word wall.  Ask me what words these are.

We went for a school walk to get to know our learning space.  We met Mrs McBride(music), Mrs Quilley(phys ed), and Mrs Jones, Mrs Hunter and Mrs Borelli in the office.

In math we wrote as many numbers as we could.

In art we created a self-portrait. 

Kid Reporter:

Brooke says we coloured self-portraits.

Hannah says we wrote numbers in a number square.

Liam says we started with a welcome circle and gave each other a fist bump!

Carsen says we read books.

Our first Meet the Teacher opportunity is during the Open House on the evening of September 22nd,  6:30-7:30pm.
