Pizza, Patterns and a Safety Walk

Today:

We had an Evacuation Drill.  That means we practiced walking to our emergency safe spot at the church.  Please talk with your child about what we did to be safe.  Do you have an emergency safe spot for your family?

In reading we read to someone (a partner or a book buddy), then read to self.

We listened to 2 books about patterns.  City Patterns  and Food Patterns by Nathan Olsen.

In writing we REVISED a piece of writing that we are proud from our journal.  Then we made a good copy of the picture and the words and sentences.

In math we are learning about patterns.  We wrote about the patterns or not patterns we took photos of around our school.     

Ask me what I did during music.

In word work we continued our work breaking down words and listening for their sounds. Instead of using coins to count the sounds we wrote the letters.
